unlikely foursome came together in the spring of 2002; dedicated
              to
singing well, and having a good time. While the quartet
spans over three decades and 250 miles, their shared love of singing
and laughter creates the common bond that makes the quartet click.
In their first appearance at Central States District Quartet Competition
in the fall of 2002, they won the championship. In the spring of
2003, they narrowly missed qualification for International Quartet
Competition by a scant six points thus earning them the distinction
of being the highest scoring non-qualifying quartet in the world!
Next year's plans are to score at least 6 more points!
Members of the quartet include Tenor John Vaughan,
a Financial Consultant from Hudson, Iowa; Lead Curt Meier, who owns
his own computer programming business in State Center, Iowa; Baritone
Chad Knipfer, who works as a web page designer; and Bass Dave Pinkall,
who is a school administrator in Fremont, Nebraska.
With a rich background in quarteting that includes
an accumulation of 6 district championships, 22 trips to International
and two top twenty international finishes; John, Curt, Chad, and
Dave blend their talents into a quartet that promises to get your
attention. Their many years of show experience has enabled them
to create a delightful mix of solid musical production and light-hearted
humor that will tickle your entertainment fancy.
Sit back, relax, and enjoy some great harmony from
this intergenerational, interstate, championship foursome! Special
mention is due to the Congregational Church in Stuart, Iowa, the
mid-point where the quartet meets weekly for their rehearsals. |
