John was introduced to this great hobby as a freshman in high school. Along the road to the CSD Championship this year with 2 State 4 he has had the wonderful opportunity to sing in many quartets winning the CSD championship with Missouri Valley Music Company (1985) and Sound Legacy (1992). He has been to International 8 times placing 16th in 1986 with MVMC. John has supported his hobby for the last 26 years by working as a financial consultant, the last 16 years for his firm in Waterloo Iowa.  He and his wife Cheryl have 4 children and are down to the last one at home.  In his spare time he serves on several boards and has recently been elected to the CSD Board as VP Music and Presentation.
